Delpro has developed a simple and extremely efficient system for re-moisturising and curl control of a wide range of coated and uncoated products.
Superheated steam is used which, unlike raw steam, remains a gas and penetrates the internal paper fibre without wetting the surface. For maximum conditioning effect the web should be at or below 35°C prior to entry into the conditioning chamber and must be cooled back down to that temperature afterwards. A spreader roll is used to spread the web and take up any cross web expansion.
